Outpatient Rehabilitation
The outpatient Rehabilitation Clinic, located on the first floor of the Woods facility, offers a wide range of services and programs. From physician care to aquatic therapy, our clinic provides professionally customized rehabilitation services.

Staff at the outpatient Rehabilitation Clinic includes physical and occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, physicians and administrative support. Licensed by the state of Virginia and highly qualified in their respective fields, our staff comes together to provide personalized, quality care to our patients. In addition, our staff is also specifically trained in VitalStim™ and Anodyne™ therapies. We also provide lifeguard training for staff working at the therapeutic pool.

    The outpatient Rehabilitation Clinic features both on-site physical medicine and physician care. Physicians work in conjunction with therapists to treat patients with a variety of conditions, including, but not limited to the following:

    Specialty Programs
    The outpatient Rehabilitation Clinic specializes and is certified in the following programs. Currently, Vitalstim™ and Anodyne™ treatments are highly sought after by patients.

    Vitalstim™ treatment has proven successful in helping people with swallowing difficulties. Vitalstim™ activates the key muscles responsible for a strong, safe swallow, preventing Aspiration Pneumonia, a condition caused by food and liquid entering the lungs.

    Anodyne™ is a drug-free method using infrared light to increase circulation to nerves and tissues resulting in decreased pain. Anodyne™ therapy, when partnered with a personalized physical therapy program, may aid in relieving pain that has not responded to other medical interventions.

    Aquatic Therapy combines physical therapy and warm water exercise. Patients experience a freedom of movement that is unattainable with traditional land therapy methods. The outpatient Rehabilitation Clinic offers aquatic treatment, personal training and group wellness programs.
