Welcome to Beth Sholom Home, the original cornerstone of the Beth Sholom Lifecare Community. Offering the highest quality nursing home and rehabilitation care, Beth Sholom Home provides a comfortable living environment for you, or for your loved ones.
The Home is set in a peaceful far west end neighborhood where residents can enjoy the tranquil suburban setting. Private rooms, daily housekeeping, kosher meal services and caring, qualified staff are just a few features that make this 116-unit facility a destination. Four units within the Home provide for varying degrees of care. Three units are devoted to long-term care, including a special Alzheimer’s/Dementia unit for residents with special cognitive/memory needs. The nursing unit functions as a therapeutic care unit for residents who have experienced illness or injury. All four units aim to aid residents in establishing or regaining confidence and as much independence as possible. In accordance with Beth Sholom’s and Richmond’s Jewish tradition, the Home maintains its heritage while actively taking steps to ensure a better, brighter future of healthcare. Services Offered at The Home Beth Sholom Home wants all of our residents to take advantage of our services and to participate in a variety of activities and programs. With dedicated staff that provide clinical, social and recreational services and activities, Beth Sholom Home takes extra steps to ensure residents that they are a part of the Beth Sholom family. Active, educational, and spiritual activities encourage residents to socialize and utilize their talents to the fullest. Services and programs at the Home include: Rehabilitation Building the confidence of our residents is another part of our mission to provide the highest quality healthcare. Experienced physical, speech and occupational therapists are on-site to assist residents after accidents, illnesses or surgeries in regaining their strength and independence. Beth Sholom Home’s rehabilitation staff offers not only the best medical care and supervision but also the encouragement and commitment residents need in order to succeed. Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care As healthcare evolves and the number of seniors with special cognitive challenges increases, different resources and elements of care are required. Despite improvements in medications that delay memory decline for some individuals, there is no approved drug known to stop the degeneration of brain cells. Beth Sholom’s Dementia and Alzheimer’s Unit provides the supportive care that maximizes quality of life for residents. Also, special Day Programs, which provide the most productive atmosphere for our residents and their visiting families and friends, enhance the experience at Beth Sholom Home for everyone involved.
